Napoleon Hill once said : Whatever your mind can conceive, it will be achieved”
This saying is often quoted in the secular world to encourage people to overcome their self limiting beliefs. But I also believe this is applicable to our relationship with our Lord.
Many a time, we keep Jesus in a box and limit what He can be for us, and so we limit the graces and blessings we can receive from Him. The only difference is that we need to remain humble and open to achieve what our minds can conceive. We often hear such encouragement – that we should do our best and leave the rest to God.
Sometimes do we really believe that God has come to destroy all sins and death so that we can live in perpetuity with Him? Our minds may not be able to understand this but that is because our minds are not aligned with that of the Holy Spirit. Our mind is like an antennae that we have to turn heavenwards so that we can attract the signals and waves of the Holy Spirit, and in this way we can achieve all that our mind can conceive.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
