Fragmented memories

Remember, remember

Remember those times of old

Those days when few things really matter

Those times when life seemed so easy to get by

Times for leisure, times for play

Also the moments of reflection

Today things are so different

The memories of old remain

The present weighs heavy on the heart

So many broken pieces to mend

So many hearts that need healing

Oh we are weary travellers

Life’s journey continues

And all must plod on

All must persevere

Since it is faithfulness and not success

As Blessed Mother Teresa has said

That really matters

All that really counts

And when the saints go marching in

We want to be counted
