Hair of the Dog

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love drives out fear: because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love”(1 John 4:18).

Is the only person capable of perfect love

Unconditional love

I do not feel that the dog appreciates the haircut very much

Humanity’s love is sometimes selfish and narrow

Our love may not be the best kind of love

Suiting our own interests

Is that really love?

I am sure that the dog or cat does not need such elaborate and fanciful haircuts

It might even

Hurt them or irritate their skin

All they might want is a quick trim

And they are contented

Sometimes, love can be seen

And carried out in the simplest of ways

It is not the creativity or customization

It is the thought and meaning

Behind our reasons that matter

That Jesus want us to experience

That should be sincere, simple and selfless.

God be with you!

  1. The poor dog is not aware of what is happening, I am sure. How can we love our dogs if we treat them the way we sometimes do? I know you would find that hard to understand too. Praise the Lord that I managed to get the photo. It speaks volumes to readers.
