The Value of a Seagull

img-20160917-wa0006

“Yet even now? Declared the Lord, return to me with all your heart…rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love (Joel 2:12-14).”

This reminded me of the scene at the crucifixion of Jesus,

Where the soldiers divided the garments of Jesus

Among themselves in a selfish way

Rather, we are called

To break the hearts of stone and return to the Lord

Just like the Prodigal Son

Who returned to the father

After realizing his mistake

Like the seagull

At times,

Circumstances may cause us to fall into difficult

And emotionally driven situations

But Jesus is always there

To help us out,

He does not forsake us

Just like the seagull

Who only asked for food

And not a change of color

This picture is similar to a story

I read in the week

About a mynah that was stuck in a glue trap

And a wildlife group had to get rid

Of the glue stuck on its whole body

This is not possible

Without the human race

As through our mistakes or intervention,

God is merciful

And he loves all things,

Even a seagull is of value

To him.

Praise God!

  1. Poor sea gull! It fell into a pot of curry, did it not? I would like to have the pictures posted for the readers, if possible. It would bring out the beauty of your thoughts better.
Well, I got the picture. . . it speaks volumes, as I always say.
